Paper Installation

My studio finally looks like I work in there!! (it only took half the semester, oh well!)

I am currently working on a new paper piece to go along with my ceramic clusters. Using paper coated in graphite, I am cutting thin rings out and assembling them together to form 2d clusters that are pinned to the wall.

Process:

First paper is covered in graphite...

Second: Circles are cut out...
Third: Rings are cut from the larger circles...
Fourth: Rings are glued together...
When assembled on the wall:

They aren't completely flat, they flow on and off the surface of the wall.
